Remove bolts from caliper and remove caliper, remove old pads. Get large channel lock type pliers or a %26quot;c%26quot; clamp and slowly squeeze piston back into caliper untill seated. Install new pads, reinstall caliper and bolts, repeat for other side. Dont forget to pump brakes a few times before driving to push pistons back into place. How in the hell do you replace brake pads in 2002 ford focus wagon?;)?First time, buy a Haynes manual for $15 from Auto Zone, and get the pads while you are there, use a large C-clamp on the caliper to push it in, the book will walk you through the entire process, with pictures. DON'T pry against the piston with a screw driver, that may damage it. The clamp will do the work, and the book is worth the investment. How in the hell do you replace brake pads in 2002 ford focus wagon?;)?Go to your local Ford dealer parts department, ask for part numbers 3S4Z-2001-AA (front brake pads), and 3S4Z-1125-AA (front brake rotors, if equipped with aluminum wheels) or YS4Z-1125-BA (front brake rotors, if equipped with 14%26quot; steel wheels). Remove the four wheel nuts (19mm) on each front wheel with the front of vehicle supported off the ground. Disconnect the steel retainer on each front outer brake pad, remove the two black plastic grommets on the back of each brake caliper. With your 7mm allen head socket, remove the two allen head caliper slides and the caliper will slide off with both of the pads in them. The rest of the instruction is as posted by the above poster. Installation is just the reverse of removal. Hope this helps. Note: Take care NOT to strip the threads on the caliper pins to the steering knuckle when re-installing the brake calipers. How in the hell do you replace brake pads in 2002 ford focus wagon?;)?http://autorepair.about.com/cs/doityours
