How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima?

I'm going to be calling the mechanics in the area and asking for quotes, I just have no real idea what to expect, cost-wise, so I'd appreciate a frame of reference. How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima?Depends on how much you want done.

You can do it yourself and slap on pads. Typically Pads cost about $30-$40 per axle.

Most places will do pads/shoes and turn your rotors/drums for between $75-$100 per axle. (Some charge more if you've got rear pads/rotors)How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima?each axle $69.95How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima?go to autozone and get OEM replacement pads(not that much. after that, it will cost whatever the garage charges that is replacing the pads for you.

you can get your front pads for as cheap as $18 and your back ones as cheap as $13, and the prices go up from there for both. You caould end up spending up to $150 for just the front, but i doubt you want to do that. How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima? Here where i live at the going rate is about 90 per side. For the 90 this is what they usually do. Replace pads/shoes, turn rote rs/drums if needed and if the wheel bearings are not pressed in repack them and then bleed the brakes. How much does it usually cost to have brake pads replaced on a '96 Nissan Maxima? My first question is how old are the pads and rotors? If they've been on the car a while, you might want to replace the whole thing (rotors and pads). Replacing the pads won't do you much good if the rotors themselves are trash. I also would recommend doing a brake flush to take full advantage of whatever you're replacing.

If you're set on replacing JUST the pads and nothing else done; expect to pay around $200 for a good shop. Make sure to ask the shop to BED the pads.
