How thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?

I have to change offside pads coz they totally worn but the other side they are about 4.5 mm in thickness ,my friend seems to think new ones arent much thicker so no point in changing bothHow thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?You must have a fault / sticky caliper if n/s are OK

I would always change brakes on an axle set... as they are still old and could fail ?? glue degrades on some pads and they still are subject to heat and can break away

What are you going to do with the other 1/2 set ??

Get them put in !!How thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?As above, it doesn't matter how much pad is left on one side - obviously, you have a sticking caliper or seized handbrake cable - you MUST replace the pads as an axle set, after cleaning the calipers %26amp; checking the caliper piston and handbrake lever operation.

Don't piss about with cutting corners on brake maintenance - it could be life or death. How thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?change them both, the new pads will take sbout 50 miles to bed in,so if you dont change both sides at the same time then you will have uneven brakeing.also as you need to change one side it would sudgest that there is a sticking caliper,so best to check that the movemint on both sides is free.beware of the pins that hold the pads, they seize in and are a pain to removeHow thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?You can't change just one side, you'll cause an imbalance which will spin you round the first time you hit the brakes!

Brake pads and shoes MUST ALWAYS be replaced as an axle set.How thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?A minimum of 5mm thicknessHow thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?New about 1.8 cmHow thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?about half inch. always change both sides. How thick are the rear brake pads on a vectra when bought new?most new ones are about 10mm so you have less than half on that one
