Do not see the point in expensive brake padsHow do i know what kind of brake pads i need for my trek bike? All bicycles regardless of brand use standard components from Shimano, Campagnolo, SRAM, or a few others. The brake pads for these brakes (as well as some better quality aftermarket pads) are available at any bike shop. You do not have to go to a Trek dealer specifically to get them. How do i know what kind of brake pads i need for my trek bike?Agree with the above answer.

My Trek, a Fx model, came the orignal Trek brake pads.

They did the job at hand, but Kool stops are much better, as i find they are longer-lasting and handle the rain better- and they don't cost much more than the other basic models. How do i know what kind of brake pads i need for my trek bike?get %26quot;kool stops%26quot; youl never know how good brakes can be until you try em. theyre on ebay pretty cheap.
