How often is it recommended to replace brake pads?

Different pads have different ratings. When the pads need replacing a metal tang will scape against the rotor to indicate that they are almost worn down completely, although It's reccomended replacing before this. You can also visually inspect the pads to see how much pad is left on them - if it's less than 陆 cm or 3/16 of an inch, replace them.

Make sure you get your rotors machined or replaced (replacing them is often cheaper than paying the labour to have them machined) too. Doing a %26quot;pad slap%26quot; brake job is not reccomended, as the worn rotors will wear down the pads much faster than smooth ones. How often is it recommended to replace brake pads?when ever they are worn. usually around 30 to 50k miles depending on driving styleHow often is it recommended to replace brake pads? You really have to keep an eye on your brake pads.... check after 30K..... then keep an eye on them. If you get a state inspection they usually check them for your. Ditto when you get new tires. The pads should also come with a strip that will make a high pitch squeal when the pad is getting low.
