I can't get the calipers in place with the pads attached to calipers.I tried hammering it into pace but it don't budge. Do I slide in the bottom first then hammer in the top? It's a tight fit. I've done this on other makes before.How do I solve problem installing brake pads in my 2000 dodge neon. ?Dude, this is going to sound nasty, but if you really feel the need to HAMMER your calipers into place,PLEASE call AAA and get your car towed to a shop before you get yourself or others on the road around you KILLED.
You either forgot to compress the piston or pistons before you installed the pads, or else you got the wrong part from the parts house. Check the pistons first.
