$480.00How much to repair brake pads and rotors?About $550. But if they had to service the hydraulic components and bleed the brakes, it will be more. How much to repair brake pads and rotors?Joe, There's a rampant use of off shore brake rotors by brake repair people these days. Without seeing exactly which brand pads and rotors were used it's any body's guess. I wouldn't at all be surprised that you rolled out $350.00 - $450.00 dollars for your brake job. That would be a fair price if who ever did it used onshore rotors such as Wagner, AC Delco, NAPA's best, Car quest's best or EBC which come from England. By onshore I mean parts made in Canada, USA, England and Germany. The off shore stuff comes from China. If you live in the northern half of the US. snow, salt, and garbage in the air will degrade them within 2 -3 yrs. They rust pit and corrode in front of your eyes. It makes me sick to see people pay premium prices for rotors $75.-$100. each and they actually install Chinese sh*it. that costs the installers $25. - $35.00 per copy. It's a plain and simple unregulated racket.
I tested the water once upon a time at a Midas Shop. I asked where their rotors were made and the manager would not answer my question. Boom, I was out of there.
