How much should it cost to replace all 4 brake pads and rotors in my Rodeo?

My 2000 Izuzu Rodeo needs 4 new brake pads and rotors. The mechanic I took it to today quoted me around $600. Does that seem reasonable? How much should it cost to replace all 4 brake pads and rotors in my Rodeo? My shop generally charges between $350 to $500 for a 4 wheel brake job with ceramic pads and new economy rotors. If they are using good quality parts $600 is probably not a bad deal. I would request ceramic pads though. They have great stopping power, little or no dust on your wheels, less noise and they last very long. Sometimes ceramic are difficult to obtain for some vehicles, but if you look hard enough they usually can be found. I would say in general that the honesty and quality of work a shop does should be way more important than the price. A cheap job with poor quality parts and shoddy labor will almost always cost you more in the long run. Good luckHow much should it cost to replace all 4 brake pads and rotors in my Rodeo?I guess it depends on your location and what type of materials are used. I know that here in the bay area (S. F.) That's cheap. It's around $70 per rotor.Cheap pads( Organic) around $50 x2. Around $100x2 for ceramic plus 4 Hrs labor. Labor rates vary. Dealer rate was $110 hr. last time I looked. Independent from $65 to $80 hr.Includes fluid flush, parts wash and fluid. How much should it cost to replace all 4 brake pads and rotors in my Rodeo? That's reasonable, but replacing rotors that don't need replacing is one of the biggest scams on the market.
