How do i find out the min. percentage required on brake pads when im buying from a used car lot?

Im looking to buy a used car. But i noticed that one of the tires will need to be replaced. I want to know what the state minimums are on brake pads, tires and other things. So if i do buy a car and find out later that the (for example) the brake pads were almost gone, i could go back and make them change them out. I live in ArkansasHow do i find out the min. percentage required on brake pads when im buying from a used car lot?what you need to do is tell them you want new brake pads and tires put on the car before you buy it or they can forget the deal. How do i find out the min. percentage required on brake pads when im buying from a used car lot?If you have to ask, don't buy ANY car without having it checked by someone you trust. If the brakes are bad enough to be concerned, you should be able to tell from a test drive.

Side note: If the vehicle is sold 'AS IS' you generally can't make them fix anything. If they include a warranty, your remedy depends on the terms of the warranty. How do i find out the min. percentage required on brake pads when im buying from a used car lot? That's why you need to have a mechanic inspect the car prior to any purchase. Most used cars are sold as is, and if you don't find any problems before you buy them and make the purchase contingent (IN WRITING!) on fixing the problem they aren't obligated to fix it. There are no minimal requirements for used car sales, some dealerships/lots fix problems others leave it as is.How do i find out the min. percentage required on brake pads when im buying from a used car lot?You are better off to take the car to have it inspected by a certified mechanic. They can list any repairs needed or check for previous accidents. This is cheap insurance.
