When I travel to Dallas and OK City I hear Just Brakes advertise 99.00 front or rear... I've heard other also....

To get you a little heads up know what the cost of the parts are before you go to a shop to have the repair sometimes helps you decide. Also calling local repair shops near you and asking what the cost of a front brake job will help...

Ask %26quot; What is the cost for a front brake Job if you just replace pads turn rotors and bleed the brakes???%26quot;

VS %26quot;What is the cost front brake job replacing pads and rotors and bleeding the brakes???%26quot;

Cost of 1999 Honda Civic front brake pads range from 16.99 to 51.99 a set.

Cost of front rotors are 21.99 to 55.99 each...

Pad set Duralast MKD273 16.99

Pad set Duralast DG273 29.99

Beck Arnley (orginal specs) 51.99

There are 16 different brands of pads out there

And 6 different rotors

Average cost would come out 29.99 pads 4.50 brake fluid 1.25 desposal fee 50.00 labor plus taxes...

Add just rotors 44.00 plus taxes...

If they are a good repair shop they will let you know how much pad you have left in the rear and if they see anything odd under the car will working on it. Also if this is like the 3rd set of brakes flushing the brake fluid sysytem would be a good thing to have done. Should cost around 25.00 labor and 17.00 for parts 42 to 55 dollars depending again on the shop...

If you have a Pep Boys near you check them out I stopped at one in Meza AZ while travling they were real helpful...

Happy Trails and remember to test the brakes in the parking lot before getting out on the road...How much should it cost to get new brake pads installed on a 99 Honda Civic?shouldnt cost a lot because its an easy job, no more than 1 1/2 hours and at 75-100 an hour plus brake cost for all 4 i'd say about 200 or less.How much should it cost to get new brake pads installed on a 99 Honda Civic?Brake pads are rather inexpensive and extremely easy to install yourself. all you need is the pads, jack, wrenches, and it helps to have a c-clamp to prime the caliper to get it back on after the new pads are in. Buy a book on your car(Haynes and Chilton both make good detailed books, i feel Haynes is for beginner mechanics and Chilton is for experienced) The book will explain step by step on how to change them. If you buys the pads from places like Auto zone sometimes they have %26quot;LIFETIME%26quot; guarantees! so when they wear down you take them back in and get them swapped for a new pair at no cost. The first few times you change your pads it'll take maybe 30 min. to an hour, but once you do it a few times, you'll be done in like 5 min. Good Luck.
